All running coaching sessions are performed with a physical therapist and experienced marathon runner.  Physical therapists are the experts at analyzing and improving motion.

The “Hit The Ground Running” Package

This 2 to 3 day package is designed for those who need some expert guidance to gain momentum and includes the following:

  • Biomechanical Evaluation: A physical therapist will assess your running biomechanics, strength, flexibility, and body alignment.  After identifying any abnormalities, we’ll set you on the right path to correct the issues so you can enhance your running experience.  Click here for more info
  • Target Heart Rate Zone Prescription: A heart rate monitor is a runner’s best friend.  It’s more than just how many times your heart is pumping per minute.  Monitoring your heart rate gives you the ability to know what kind of fuel you are using:  mostly fat, mostly sugar, or a mixture of both.  Your goal is to burn more fat than sugar as sugar burning leads to acid production and tissue breakdown.  We’ll determine your 3 target heart zones based on a number of factors.  This includes a private running coaching session.  Click here for more info.
  • An Additional Deluxe Private Running Coaching Session:  A one-on-one running coaching session with a physical therapist.  All deluxe private running coaching sessions conclude with a brief physical therapy session including manual stretching performed by the therapist to promote muscle balance, flexibility, and the reduction of accumulated acids.
  • Recommended for beginners and experienced runners.

You have the option of choosing to complete this package in 2 or 3 days.  You do not have to complete the package in consecutive days and can space the days out if you prefer.

The 2-day option includes the Biomechanical Evaluation and the Heart Rate Target Zone Prescription on Day 1 and will last about 2 hours.  On Day 2, you will complete the Deluxe Private Running Coaching Session.

The 3-day option allows you to start Day 1 with the Biomechanical Evaluation.  On Day 2, you’ll perform the Heart Rate Target Zone Prescription.  You’ll conclude the package on Day 3 with your Deluxe Private Running Coaching Session.

Price:  $279.95 with heart rate monitor / $249.95 if you already own a heart rate monitor

Private Running Coaching Session

With your Private Running Coaching Session, you’ll not only learn the healthy way to run, you’ll also receive a full biomechanical evaluation.  A biomechanical evaluation is necessary to identify any issues in your body that may become a “problem area” when running.  Some issues may be a non-factor with a inactive lifestyle, but become painfully obvious when you start your running program.

In addition to identifying these issues, your physical therapist will show you exactly what you can do on your own to work on correcting the issues and bring your body back into balance.

You’ll also enjoy a 60-minute running session with your physical therapist followed by a brief physical therapy session that includes manual techniques to promote muscle balance, flexibility, and the elimination of acids produced during the run.  The running session includes warm-up and cool-down time.

Some people choose to take just one running session to learn what they need to do and then continue on their own.  Others choose to purchase additional running sessions for extra support.  Which ever path you choose is perfect.

Plan on 2.5 hours to complete the Biomechanical Evaluation and Running Session.  You can also perform the Biomechanical Evaluation and Running Session on separate days if desired.

Price:  Initial Session = $179.95 (includes cost of Biomechanical Evaluation)
