If you answered yes to any of the above questions, then it’s time to register for “Agility, Speed, and Power Training” from Stride to Health.
My name is Dean Teitelbaum. I’m a physical therapist and the owner of Stride to Health in Simsbury. I’ve been practicing as a physical therapists since 2000 and I’ve combined my expertise in health with my passion for exercise to create Stride to Health.
I know that I’m not the only person who has lost some athleticism over the years. Oh sure, I’ve kept in shape by running, cycling, and lifting weights, but that’s just not the same as feeling “athletic.”
I can remember it as if it were yesterday. One morning a few years back, I was out running and training for a marathon. As I jaunted across the street towards a paved path, I approached a small wooden guard-rail-like fence which was only 2 to 3 feet high.
I was thinking to myself that I should slow down to a walk and step over the barrier. Then that little annoying voice inside my head said to me…
…”Dude, you can totally jump over that thing. You were a hurdler in high school for crying out loud!”
My ego got the best of me as I sprinted towards the fence and I began leaping over it. Then, as I was half way over the the guard rail, I felt a sharp, stinging pain that smacked me in my shin. As I screamed out in pain like a little girl, I tumbled over the fence, landing on my belly as I slid across the asphalt.
I swear I’m still digging out little grains of sand and pebbles from my skin till this day.
And that’s when I subtly realized that I was no longer the athlete I used to be. I used to sprint and jump without a single problem and here I was tripping over a tiny fence.
More importantly, that’s also when I learned that I want my athleticism back! I don’t like feeling like a clutz and feeling as if I’ve “lost something.”
So, I began doing some of the types of exercises and drills I used to do in high school. I even went out of my way to learn new activities that would help to increase my athleticism. Since that hurdling mishap a few years back, I’ve improved my speed, agility, and power and I’m feeling awesome.
Am I the athlete I was in high school and college?
No.
But I’ll tell you what…I’m pretty freakin’ close!
Who Says You Can’t Do The Things You Used To Be Able To Do?
There seems to be a common belief in our society that as you age, it should be “normal” for you to lose your athleticism. Most people simply accept this belief to be the truth and let their bodies and athletic ability deteriorate with age.
Oh sure, you may not be able to maintain the same amount of speed and agility forever. But remember this…
…The only reason why most people can’t do the things they used to do is BECAUSE THEY STOPPED DOING THEM!
Let’s face it. It happens to everybody. You get too busy with work, family, school, etc. and then you stop challenging your body the way it was used to being challenged. You stop running, jumping, sprinting, and challenging all of your major muscle groups on a consistent basis.
The “Agility, Speed, And Power Training” Will Challenge Your Body In A Way That Forces It To Respond By Becoming Quicker And More Agile…You’ll Get Back Those Steps That You Lost.
You see, it’s not rocket science. You just need to start challenging your body in way to make it respond. At Stride to Health, we specialize in challenging your body in a healthy way so that you can become the athlete you used to be (or at least closer to it).
If The Thought Of Being Stuck Indoors And Getting An “Exciting” Work Out While Staring At Your Television Makes You Want To Gag, Then Get Outside With Us And Register For “Agility, Speed, And Power Training” Today.

I’ve figured out how to gently force you to challenge your body in a fresh and spontaneous environment so you can get in shape and become more athletic without burning out. Even if you’ve never done these types of athletic drills before and never pushed yourself to go faster than a light jog.
And guess what?
The process is actually FUN because you can FEEL the power of this stuff as you do it. You’ll feel yourself getting faster, stronger, and more agile with each session. It’s simple. But it’s the most effective training you’ll ever do.
A few years ago… I realized that many of the drills and exercises that high level athletes are doing, can also be done by everyday people like me and you.
Why should athletes be the only ones who get to have fun while they get in shape?
The general public has gotten used to the boring gym lifestyle and watching exercise DVD’s in their home. There are many people who prefer this style of exercise. Most have never known what its like to breathe fresh air and feel the warm sunshine while they challenge their body in a healthy environment with drills that are fun to do.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy there are people who enjoy exercising indoors and watching DVD’s because that’s better than not exercising at all. It’s just not really my thing.
And if you’re reading this, I’m assuming it’s not really your thing either.
You’ll find some of the drills to be demanding…but doable. You may find yourself being only one ounce of extra strength away from completing a certain activity…knowing that you are so close to doing it and seeing it within your grasp keeps you motivated to continue pushing your body…and that’s why its such a blast. You can see and feel your progress from session to session.
The energy you pick up here will fuel your tank for a long, long time.
During this 4-week training program, you’ll experience some of the most effective drills to help you:
-
Improve Your Balance And Body Control
-
Increase Your Speed
-
Improve Your Ability To Stop On A Dime And Change Direction
-
Gain Power With Your Vertical Leap
-
Get The Explosive First Step Needed To Blow Past The Competition
-
Improve Your Core Stability And Strength (one of the most under-rated aspects of athleticism)
-
And Much More!
Trust me, this program is not your typical group of jocks doing strength and conditioning drills. Oh sure, you’ll definitely get your fair share of drills, but it doesn’t end there because…
…We Have Re-Written The Rules By Focusing On Health…Not Just Fitness
Afterall, they don’t call us “Stride to Health” for nothing.
The entire program is monitored by a Doctor of Physical Therapy. Want to know why having a physical therapist on your side is so important? Here’s some basic info about physical therapists from the American Physical Therapy Association:
Physical Therapists Have Intensive Education and Clinical Expertise…
“Physical therapists apply research and proven techniques to help people get back in motion. All physical therapists are required to receive a graduate degree – either a masters or a clinical doctorate — from an accredited physical therapist program before taking the national licensure examination that allows them to practice. State licensure is required in each state in which a physical therapist practices. They are trusted health care professionals with extensive clinical experience who examine, diagnose, and then prevent or treat conditions that limit the body’s ability to move and function in daily life…
…A physical therapist can help you improve your quality of life by moving freely again without pain and discomfort and feeling renewed and ready to move on. They can even help you prevent an injury altogether…
…Because physical therapists receive specialized training in a variety of sciences – physics, human anatomy, kinesiology (human movement), to name a few– they understand how the body works and how to get you moving again. They know how to manage all four of the body’s major systems – musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, cardiovascular/pulmonary, and integumentary (skin) – to restore and maximize mobility.”
Before you start a single speed and agility drill, you will undergo a thorough biomechanical evaluation by a physical therapist. Your Doctor of Physical Therapy will identify any issues which may potentially become a problem during your training and address these issues so that you can prevent injuries and maximize your efforts during the program.
You’ll also have access to two physical therapy during each week of the program when you select the Platinum or Gold options. This will help to prevent injuries and allow you to deal with any soreness with the help of a health care professional.
Even if you don’t have injuries, you’re encouraged to take advantage of these sessions for manual stretching by a physical therapist to improve your flexibility and eliminate acidic waste products from your body. Simply having access to a health care professional on such a regular basis is a huge plus for improving your overall health.

You don’t have to worry about the drills being too hard (or too easy). You’ll be able to perform these drills at your own pace, while still challenging your body enough to produce awesome results.
It’s fun and it feels good to be athletic. Simply being aware of the fact that you are pushing your body in a way that 99.9% of your friends and colleagues have never experienced gives you a sense of being a world-class athlete…even though you may just be an ordinary mother, father, average Joe, average Jane, or weekend warrior.
When you train with our arsenal of drills you will uncover the athletic abilities that you never knew you had.
Here’s a breakdown of everything included in the “Agility, Speed, and Power Training”:
- 4 weeks of Agility, Speed, and Power Training With 2 Or 3 Workouts Per Week Depending On Which Package You Invest In (A $320 To $480 Value) - These workouts are led by a Doctor of Physical Therapy and will last approximately 75-90 minutes which includes warm up, workout, and cool down. Each workout will consist of hand selected speed and agility drills that are a blast to do and will help to uncover your inner athlete. The Platinum Package offers 3 workouts per week and the Gold Package offers 2 workouts per week.
- Full Biomechanical Evaluation By A Physical Therapist (a $90 Value) – You’ll get an expert head-to-toe evaluation from a Doctor of Physical Therapy. Physical therapists are experts at understanding your body movement, anatomy, and physiology.
Your physical therapist will identify areas of “imbalance”. This may include painful joints, tight muscles, weak muscles, etc. Right now, these areas may not be giving you any problems. However, once you start increasing your activity level, these areas may be the source of pain and injury and prevent you from exercising.
The purpose of the Biomechanical Evaluation is to identify these areas and address them with physical therapy and home exercises. That way you can prevent pain and injuries from ruining your training experience and make sure you feel vigorous throughout the training.
- Access To 2 Physical Therapy Sessions Per Week (A $400 Value) – These physical therapy sessions are designed to give you an opportunity to consistently address your health. If you have pain or soreness, this is a great time for the physical therapist to help eliminate your pain.
Even if you are not dealing with pain or injuries, you’re still encouraged to take advantage of this valuable bonus. This time can also be used for manual stretching of the muscle groups you have used during the workouts. Your physical therapist will skillfully and precisely stretch your major muscle groups to help eliminate acidic and toxic waste products produced during the workouts to help prevent muscle breakdown and improve your health.
By having such consistent access to a health expert you can be assured that your health is always regarded as the top priority throughout the entire training.
These sessions also give you access to state of the art technology with the Low-Level Laser Therapy which is used by professional athletes to accelerate healing and improve recovery. Low-Level Laser Therapy is FDA cleared, non-toxic, non invasive and safe to use on any body part except your eyes.
The laser photons penetrate up to 2 inches deep in your body to increases blood flow, increase cellular activity, and increase collagen production. This means you can reduce pain and soreness and accelerate healing of any muscles that may be sore from the workouts…or even any painful areas that were giving you trouble before you started your training with us.
You’ll also improve recovery between workouts which will give you the ability to challenge your body without harming yourself.
- Nutritional Seminar With Ongoing Support (A $100 Value) – You’ll learn the truth about nutrition and so-called “sports nutrition.” You’ll learn how eating healthy is simply about balance…not moderation.
If you’re looking to shed a few pounds with this training, this nutritional information is a must have.
Even if you’re satisfied with your current weight, you must learn the truth about “pH balanced” nutrition to eliminate the toxic acids produced during the training and reduce your chances for injury and disease in the future.
Many nutritional myths that are swarming around the health community will be dispelled. You’ll learn why “acid” should be the biggest factor in determining what goes into your mouth and how acid can deteriorate your health.
You’ll be provided with healthy recipes and sample meal plans. You’ll also receive on going support through email, phone, and one-on-one conversations so that you know how, when, and why to make transitions to a healthier diet. Not everybody will make the same changes and not everybody will change at the same pace, so this support is crucial for guiding you down the path of better health in a way that works for you and your body.
- FREE Servings Of Safe And Effective Acid Buffering Supplements (A $50 Value) – With this training program, you’re gonna produce more acid than a battery! If left un-buffered and not properly eliminated, these acidic waste products will literally corrode your insides (just look at what acid can do to your teeth when cavities are drilled into your pearly whites by acid).
Before and after your training sessions, you’ll have access to servings of natural and safe supplements designed to buffer these acids and maintain pH balance. By buffering acids before and after your workouts, you’ll notice that you’re not fatiguing as fast as you normally would and that you’re able to able to go further and faster.
These supplements we use and recommend:
- Are Allowed by the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) and are Generally Regarded as Safe (GRAS) by the FDA.
- Increase Performance, Endurance, and Stamina.
- Allow Quicker Recovery Times Between Workouts
Not only will you perform better with these acid-buffering supplements, you’ll be healthier for having removed the excess acids from your system.
The Total Value Of This Training Exceeds $1,120!
Yeah, you’re definitely getting a lot with this training. Though you’ll only pay a fraction of what it’s worth.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who is this training for?
This training is really for any adult looking to improve their athleticism. Men and women are both welcome. Current athletes, former athletes, and non-athletes simply looking for a challenging workout are encouraged to join.
If you want to get faster to beat the competition, or just try to get back some of that agility you lost, these workouts are perfect.
Is this like one of those “weight loss boot camp” things?
This program is unique and is not a weight loss boot camp. While participants may lose weight as a result of this training, it is not our focus with this particular program. The focus of this program is on improving athleticism while emphasizing health.
When focusing on movement and health, participants are very likely to lose weight if they are currently overweight, as there bodies regain balance.
If you’re in the process of losing 5 to 30 pounds, this program can be an awesome supplement to that. However, if you need to lose more than 30 pounds, you may want to consider losing enough weight so that you are less than 30 pounds overweight before doing this program.
Do I have to be a high level athlete to be able to do this stuff?
No. Recreational athletes and weekend warriors can do this type of workout. This training is designed for you to go at your own pace. So if you’re at a higher level, you can push yourself at a higher level for a more intense workout, while recreational athletes can do the same exercises and drills at a lower intensity.
How hard is this stuff going to be?
It’s definitely a challenge, but it’s all doable. Some of the drills may seem simple to do, but challenging when you are pushed to do them faster or more intensely.
Other drills may be just out out of reach and be something that you’re not quite able to do yet. In this case, you’re encouraged to do what you can with the intention of being able to eventually complete that activity as you gain strength. Or maybe you’re able to do it with a little assistance from our staff and eventually you’ll be able to do the activity without assistance.
You’ll always be encouraged to do things at your own pace. You’ll never be forced to do anything you don’t want to do. We want you to feel comfortable challenging your body and have “health” always be the foundation of the workouts. Running ’till you puke doesn’t fly with us at Stride to Health.
Where will this training take place?
Most of the training will take place on grassy fields in Simsbury, CT. Athletic cleats are recommended, but not necessary, to have better traction when doing some of the drills.
If I register for more than one session, will the second session be more advanced than the first?
Starting in July, we will offer an advanced session to those who have completed an initial session. If you feel that you need more of a challenge, you can step up and take the advanced session. If you decide to take multiple sessions, you will always have the option of staying at the same level or taking the advanced session…the choice is yours.
The advanced session does not have anything that is impossible, though it’s definitely more of a workout than the initial session.
How will weather effect the training sessions?
For the most part, the temperature in Connecticut is very reasonable from May through October. We will train in rain unless it is a cold rain (50 degrees or less), or a complete downpour. We will cancel in cases of lightening and thunderstorms.
In cases of extreme heat or humidity, workouts may be canceled or rescheduled. Temperatures below 40 degrees may also cause us to reschedule to avoid injury.
Any workouts canceled due to weather will be made up.
What if I know ahead of time that I will be unavailable for a certain period of time? Can I make up missed sessions?
If you know that during the 4-week session you will be unable to attend a certain session(s), you will have the option of making them up in a following session provided that you inform us of this when you register.
What are these supplements about? Do I have to use them?
The supplements included with this training are simple alkaline mineral salts which are concentrated and help to buffer acids produced by your body. These supplements go along with our health philosophy that health is all about pH balance in the body. We believe that acid is the cause of disease, illness, and obesity and that by reducing acid in the body, you can have optimum health.
The supplements will help to reduce soreness caused by acid and improve recovery between workouts. The use of the supplements is optional. If you’d like to use them, they are there for you. If you choose not to use them, that’s fine too.
For more information about our supplements, you can call us at (860) 325-0786 or click here.
Can I do a Platinum Level program for the first month and then switch to Gold Level the next month, or vice-versa?
Yes, feel free to mix it up however you’d like to.
Should I take advantage of the physical therapy sessions even if I don’t have any injuries or pain to deal with?
The physical therapy sessions are a powerful benefit, even if you are not dealing with pain. The physical therapy sessions can help with simple muscle soreness from the workouts and can also help to improve your flexibility with manual stretching.
Manual stretching of your muscles will also help to sweep away the acids from your muscles and push the acids towards the lymphatic system for proper elimination.
You do not have to take advantage of this benefit if you prefer not to.
