Get The “It Factor” Coaches Are Searching For…
With Our “Speed, Agility, and Power Camp” You’ll Gain The Explosiveness It Takes To Blow Away The Competition
Dear High School Athlete,
Summertime is just around the corner. For most students, that means the sweet smell of sun tan lotion…relaxing in the
warm, humid New England air…sleeping in late without that annoying alarm blaring in your face…and hanging out late night with your friends because there are no more “school nights.”
All that stuff sounds great, and I’m sure you’ll get your chance to enjoy all those summer rituals. Though I know that you’ve come to this website because you realize summer is the perfect opportunity to take your athleticism to the next level and gain an edge on your competition.
Let’s face it, nothing would be more frustrating than busting your butt at practice, sacrificing all that time and energy, and getting an earful from your coach only to find out you didn’t get that starting spot or you didn’t get a scholarship offer from the school where you were hoping to continue your scholastic athletic career.
Or even worse, what if the coach doesn’t even know you exist?
…Now Is The Time To Get Faster, Stronger, And More Athletic So You Can Impress The Coaches And Enjoy More Victories.
My name is Dean Teitelbaum. I’m a licensed physical therapist and the owner of Stride to Health: Optimum Health & Running Center in Simsbury. My experience in the health care field combined with my passion for running and working with athletes will provide you with the opportunity to not just get fit and more athletic, but to also get healthy.
This summer, Stride to Health is offering a unique program called “Agility, Speed, and Power Camp” designed with student athletes in mind. The name of the program pretty much sums it up…we want to help you get faster, stronger and more athletic.

Increase Your Speed
-
Improve Your Ability To Stop On A Dime And Change Direction
-
Gain Power With Your Vertical Leap
-
Get The Explosive First Step Needed To Blow Past The Competition
-
Improve Your Core Stability And Strength (one of the most under-rated aspects of athleticism)
-
And Much More!
If You Want To Get That Starting Spot, Get That Athletic Scholarship, Or Simply Become The Best Athlete You Can Be, This Program Is Exactly What You Need.
The “Agility, Speed, and Power Camp” will improve athletic performance in both male and female athletes who participate in:
- Soccer
- Football
- Basketball
- Baseball
- Lacrosse
- Ice Hockey
- Field Hockey
- Softball
- Volleyball
- Rugby
- Track
- Tennis
You’ll perform high level training drills used by some of the most superior athletes in the world. This program is not just about doing drills and improving your athleticism. Oh sure, you’ll definitely get your fair share of drills, but it doesn’t end there because…
…We Have Re-Written The Rules By Focusing On Health…Not Just Fitness
Afterall, they don’t call us “Stride to Health” for nothing.
The entire program is monitored by a Doctor of Physical Therapy.
Before you start a single speed and agility drill, you will undergo a thorough biomechanical evaluation by a physical therapist. Your physical therapist will identify any issues which may potentially become a problem during your training and address these issues so that you can prevent injuries and maximize your efforts during the camp.
You’ll also have access to two physical therapy sessions during each week of the program. This will help to prevent injuries and allow you to deal with any soreness with the help of a health care professional.
Even if you don’t have injuries, you’re encouraged to take advantage of these sessions for manual stretching by a physical therapist to improve your flexibility and eliminate acidic waste products from your body. Simply having access to a health care professional on such a regular basis is a huge plus for improving your overall health.
You don’t have to worry about the drills being too hard (or too easy). You’ll be able to perform these drills at your own pace, while still challenging your body enough to produce awesome results.
At Stride to Health’s “Agility, Speed, and Power Camp” You’ll Become More Athletic While Also Discovering The Difference Between Health And Fitness.
There is no such thing as “running ’till you puke” at Stride to Health. You’ll learn how to push your body enough to produce results, without pushing it too far and doing damage to your body which is simply not healthy or smart.
Are You In A Battle For The Starting Spot?
Do You Need An Edge To Compete For An Athletic Scholarship?
Are You Already An Elite Athlete And Just Want To Get Even Better?
How Many More Wins Will You Have If You Are Just A Fraction Of A Second Faster?
Regardless of what your ultimate goal is in sports, you can be assured that if part of your goal is to improve your body’s ability to perform and become the best athlete you can be, then this is the program for you.
Stop Blending In With Everybody Else. Give Yourself The Ability To Stand Out From The Other Athletes By Being More Athletic And Command More Attention From The Coaches.
Simply doing sprint drills to get in shape is boring and not effective enough to train all the muscle groups that athletes need to train. Sprint drills are good, but won’t help you improve your agility and athleticism. They are just one piece of the puzzle. At the “Agility, Speed, and Power Camp” you’ll train with our entire arsenal of drills to produce results in all aspects of athleticism, not just sprinting.
Even if you are already the best in your sport and an elite athlete, now is the time to get EVEN BETTER because guess what? At the next level, there are hundreds of athletes just as good as you OR BETTER. Now is the time to develop your athleticism to give you that edge you’ll need when the competition raises the bar at the next level.
Here’s a breakdown of everything included in the “Agility, Speed, and Power Camp”:
- 4 weeks of Agility, Speed, and Power Training With 3 Workouts Per Week (A $480 Value) - These workouts are led by a Doctor of Physical Therapy and will last approximately 75-90 minutes which includes warm up, workout, and cool down. Each workout will consist of hand selected speed and agility and power drills that are a blast to do and will help to give you the edge on the field come game time. You’ll feel yourself get stronger, faster, and more agile with each workout.
- Full Biomechanical Evaluation By A Physical Therapist (a $90 Value) – You’ll get an expert head-to-toe evaluation from a Doctor of Physical Therapy. Physical therapists are experts at understanding your body movement, anatomy, and physiology.
Your physical therapist will identify areas of “imbalance”. This may include painful joints, tight muscles, weak muscles, etc. Right now, these areas may not be giving you any problems. However, once you start increasing your activity level, these areas may be the source of pain and injury and prevent you from exercising.
The purpose of the Biomechanical Evaluation is to identify these areas and address them with physical therapy and home exercises. That way you can prevent pain and injuries from ruining your training experience and make sure you feel vigorous throughout the training.
- Access To 2 Physical Therapy Sessions Per Week (A $400 Value) – These physical therapy sessions are designed to give you an opportunity to consistently address your health. If you have pain or soreness, this is a great time for the physical therapist to help eliminate your pain.
Even if you are not dealing with pain or injuries, you’re still encouraged to take advantage of this valuable bonus because this time can also be used for manual stretching of the muscle groups you have used during the workouts. Your physical therapist will skillfully and precisely stretch your major muscle groups to help eliminate acidic and toxic waste products produced during the workouts to help prevent muscle breakdown and improve your health.
By having such consistent access to a health expert you can be assured that your health is always regarded as the top priority throughout the entire training.
These sessions also give you access to state of the art technology with the Low-Level Laser Therapy which is used by professional and olympic athletes to accelerate healing and improve recovery. Low-Level Laser Therapy is FDA cleared, non-toxic, non invasive and safe to use on any body part except your eyes.
The laser photons penetrate up to 2 inches deep in your body to increases blood flow, increase cellular activity, and increase collagen production. This means you can reduce pain and soreness and accelerate healing of any muscles that may be sore from the workouts…or even any painful areas that were giving you trouble before you started your training with us.
You’ll also improve recovery between workouts which will allow you to feel fresh for the next workout…not tired and run down.
- Nutritional Seminar With Ongoing Support (A $100 Value) – You’ll learn the truth about nutrition and so-called “sports nutrition.” You’ll learn how eating healthy is simply about balance…not moderation.
Understanding pH balance will give you an edge on your competition, especially during those last few minutes of the game or during those last 100 yards to the finish line. The athlete who is more efficient at eliminating acids from the body is most likely to succeed at the end of a long, grueling competition.
Many nutritional myths that are swarming around the health community will be dispelled. You’ll learn why “acid” should be the biggest factor in determining what goes into your mouth and how acid can deteriorate your health.
You’ll be provided with healthy recipes and sample meal plans. You’ll also receive on going support through email, phone, and one-on-one conversations so that you know how, when, and why to make transitions to a healthier diet. Not everybody will make the same changes and not everybody will change at the same pace, so this support is crucial for guiding you down the path of better health in a way that works for you and your body.
- FREE Servings Of Safe And Effective Acid Buffering Supplements (A $50 Value) – With this training program, you’re gonna produce more acid than a battery! If left un-buffered and not properly eliminated, these acidic waste products will literally corrode your insides (just look at what acid can do to your teeth when cavities are drilled into your pearly whites by acid).
Before and after your training sessions, you’ll have access to servings of natural and safe supplements designed to buffer these acids and maintain pH balance. By buffering acids before and after your workouts, you’ll notice that you’re not fatiguing as fast as you normally would and that you’re able to able to go further and faster.
These supplements we use and recommend:
- Are Allowed by the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) and are Generally Regarded as Safe (GRAS) by the FDA.
- Increase Performance, Endurance, and Stamina.
- Allow Quicker Recovery Times Between Workouts
Not only will you perform better with these acid-buffering supplements, you’ll be healthier for having removed the excess acids from your system.
*Participants under the age of 18 will be required to have parental/guardian permission to use the alkaline supplements. While we believe in the health and safety of the products we use and recommend 100%, we completely understand why a parent would have concerns about supplement use.
For this reason, brochures will be give to parents to explain our nutritional philosophy and parents are encouraged to give our clinic a call if they would like more specifics about our views on nutrition or the supplements we use and recommend. There is absolutely nothing wrong with a parent declining to allow the use of nutritional supplements with their children, however we encourage all parents to make sure they fully understand our health principles and the safety of alkalizing supplements before making this decision.

This program is designed for both male and female high school athletes who want to improve their speed and athleticism to improve their performance on the field, court, or track. This training is appropriate for all high school sports.
Is this training co-ed?
Yes, males and females will all be working together in the same group. Because these drills are designed so that you can go at your own pace, there is no need to worry about any inequalities with the workouts. If you’re a high school athlete you’ll do just fine with these workouts, regardless of you gender.
Where will this training take place?
Most of the training will take place on grassy fields in Simsbury, CT. Athletic cleats are recommended, but not necessary, to have better traction when doing some of the drills.
When do the sessions begin?
The schedule is as follows:
Session #1: Week of 6/28/10 through 7/23/10
Session #2: Week of 7/26/10 through 8/20/10
How many athletes are in a group?
Group size is limited to 10 per group to ensure adequate supervision of all athletes involved. When a group fills up with 10 athletes, we will form another group with a maximum of 10 athletes.
If I register for more than one session, will the second session be more advanced than the first?
Yes, for those athletes involved in a second or third session, you will have the option of participating in a more advanced group with more challenging drills.
How will weather effect the training sessions?
We will train in rain unless it is a cold rain (50 degrees or less), or a complete downpour. We will cancel in cases of lightening and thunderstorms.
In cases of extreme heat or humidity, workouts may be canceled or rescheduled. Temperatures below 40 degrees may also cause us to reschedule to avoid injury.
Any workouts canceled due to weather will be made up.
What if I know ahead of time that I will be unavailable for a certain period of time? Can I make up missed sessions?
If you know that during the 4-week session you will be unable to attend a certain session(s), you will have the option of making them up in a following session provided that you inform us of this when you register and you make them up within the time period that this program is running.
What are these supplements about? Do I have to use them?
The supplements included with this training are simple alkaline mineral salts which are concentrated and help to buffer acids produced by your body. These supplements go along with our health philosophy that health is all about pH balance in the body. We believe that acid is the cause of disease, illness, and obesity and that by reducing acid in the body, you can have optimum health.
The supplements will help to reduce soreness caused by acid and improve recovery between workouts. The use of the supplements is optional. If you’d like to use them, they are there for you. If you choose not to use them, that’s fine too.
Please note, we understand why parents may be concerned about nutritional supplements. Therefore, all athletes under the age of 18 will be required to have parental consent to use the supplements. We encourage parents to call our clinic if they have questions and want to learn more about our views on health and nutrition.
For more information about our supplements, you can call us at (860) 325-0786 or click here.
How hard is this stuff going to be?
It’s definitely a challenge, but it’s all doable. Some of the drills may seem simple to do, but challenging when you are pushed to do them faster or more intensely.
Other drills may be just out out of reach and be something that you’re not quite able to do yet. In this case, you’re encouraged to do what you can with the intention of being able to eventually complete that activity as you gain strength. Or maybe you’re able to do it with a little assistance from our staff and eventually you’ll be able to do the activity without assistance.
You’ll always be encouraged to do things at your own pace. You’ll never be forced to do anything you don’t want to do. We want you to feel comfortable challenging your body and have “health” always be the foundation of the workouts. Running ’till you puke doesn’t fly with us at Stride to Health.
Should I take advantage of the physical therapy sessions even if I don’t have any injuries or pain to deal with?
The physical therapy sessions are a powerful benefit, even if you are not dealing with pain. The physical therapy sessions can help with simple muscle soreness from the workouts and can also help to improve your flexibility with manual stretching.
Manual stretching of your muscles will also help to sweep away the acids from your muscles and push the acids towards the lymphatic system for proper elimination.
You do not have to take advantage of this benefit if you prefer not to.
I’m really serious about playing at the next level. Are there one-on-one programs available for me?
Yes. Give us a call at (860) 325-0RUN (0786) and we will discuss your needs and create a program tailored to you and your sport.
